# Andre Jilderda — Freelance front-end developer

> Experienced front-end developer who moves your project forward.

Hi, I'm Andre Jilderda — a freelance front-end developer based in Arnhem, the Netherlands. With 15+ years of experience and a background in design, I build solid websites and web applications that feel good to use and look great. With the experience I've gained from countless projects, big and small, I set the direction, contribute hands-on, and make sure everything runs smoothly.

This is a Markdown version of <https://andrejilderda.nl/en/>, optimised for AI tools.

## What I do

- Front-end developer (primary), designer, and certified Scrum Master.
- **Languages:** TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- **Frameworks:** React, Astro. *Currently not taking on Angular assignments.*
- **Tooling:** Vite, Storybook, Vitest, Playwright, Turborepo, and more.

## How I work

I focus on **clean, scalable and future-proof code**: applications that are fast, stable and enjoyable to use. **Performance, accessibility and reusable components** are second nature. With my design background I translate designs effortlessly into code and add a bit of extra spark for a better end result.

I also help teams work better together. As a certified Scrum Master I know agile inside out, but I stick to what works best for the team in practice — refining requirements, writing user stories, gathering input, wherever it helps most.

## About me

A few years ago I swapped the Randstad for the green city of Arnhem. In my spare time I trail-run, hit the gym, play indoor soccer, mountain bike, volunteer playing football with young people with mild intellectual disabilities, meditate, and work on hobby projects like [Dash](https://getdash.app) (a Figma plugin) or contribute to [open source](https://github.com/andrejilderda).

This site itself is designed and built by me. It runs on [Astro](https://astro.build/), with [Alpine.js](https://alpinejs.dev/) for the few interactive bits.
